美國密蘇里南州立大學(xué)代表團一行7人于2004年9月2日來(lái)我院訪(fǎng)問(wèn)。代表團中有該大學(xué)校長(cháng)Julio S León 先生和夫人、董事會(huì )主席Dwight Douglas先生、董事會(huì )副主席Douglas Brooks 博士和夫人、學(xué)校留學(xué)生部主任Chad Stebbins 博士、學(xué)校媒體學(xué)系主任Jay R Moorman 博士。他們在王榮昌院長(cháng)、劉洪老院長(cháng)和周樹(shù)玲副院長(cháng)的陪同下參觀(guān)了我院兩個(gè)校園，并和遇到的學(xué)生們進(jìn)行了友好而隨意的交談。隨后，兩校領(lǐng)導就合作事宜進(jìn)行了非常有成效的探討，在互換學(xué)生、互換教師、我院學(xué)生到美國密蘇里南州立大學(xué)上專(zhuān)升本、為我院學(xué)生提供獎學(xué)金、將該院的遠程教育引進(jìn)我院等問(wèn)題達成了初步的意向。
　　該大學(xué)校長(cháng)Julio S León 先生和其他來(lái)訪(fǎng)者對我院學(xué)生的英語(yǔ)水平和熱情而大方的談吐給予很高的評價(jià)，他們認為我院的外語(yǔ)教學(xué)水平高，學(xué)生的素質(zhì)高，也反映出我國在改革開(kāi)放之后青年人積極向上和開(kāi)放的精神，這一切給他們留下了深刻的印象。國際商務(wù)專(zhuān)業(yè)也是他們學(xué)校的大專(zhuān)業(yè)，密蘇里州政府也在最近提出要加強與世界其他國家在經(jīng)濟方面的聯(lián)系，所以他們希望在這個(gè)專(zhuān)業(yè)等多方面與我院合作。

A delegation with seven guests from Missouri Southern State University visited our college on Sep. 2nd 2004. The delegation consisted of University President Julio Leon and his wife, Mrs. Vivian Leon; the Chairman of the Board of Governors, Mr. Dwight Douglas; the Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors, Mr. Douglas Brooks and his wife, Mrs. Linda Brooks; the Director of the Institute of International Studies, Mr. Chad Stebbins; and the Head of the Department of Communication, Mr. J. R. Moorman. The guests visited our two campuses accompanied by College President, Mr. Wang Rongchang; the former President, Mr. Liuhong; and Vice- President, Mrs. Zhou Shuling of our college. During the visit, the guests talked with the students freely. The leaders of both colleges explored the potential for both students and faculties exchange programs and allowing our students to enroll in Missouri Southern State University for further study. Missouri Southern State University would provide our students in their University with scholarship, and introducing their on-line teaching system to our college.
President Julio S Leon and the other visitors gave a high remark on our college students English level and enthusiastic talk, they thought that our college’s foreign language teaching level was very high, and they praised the students in their English study. It signifies the upward spirit of China youth after open reform to the world. All these left them with a deep impression. The International Commerce major is also their university’s main major. Missouri State Government put forward to strengthen the cooperation with other countries in the economic field, so Missouri Southern State University hopes to cooperate strongly in this major and other field.
